In recent months, I’ve been thinking a lot about Neighborhood House’s Circle of Influence. It's a concept that’s been around for a while and is often described as the things that concern you that you can do something about.
In our just released 2021 Impact Report, you'll see how, together, we've been able to positively impact the communities of Southbridge and Middletown. Our Circle of Influence not only includes those we serve, but those who support and partner with us. It includes our leadership: those who carry the vision of Neighborhood House forward and help turn people’s dreams into reality.
As you make your way through the report, you’ll get a glimpse of our mission happening through our programs. Hundreds of lives were touched through our work. The impact can be difficult to quantify, because for every child, teenager, and adult we serve, there is almost always someone else who receives an indirect benefit. While that ripple effect may not be reflected in the numbers we share here, it’s top of mind for me as I think about our Circle of Influence.
Even as we look back to 2021, we look forward to a future filled with possibilities. Being good stewards of our Circle of Influence, broadening it with integrity and faith, is more important than ever.
I want to thank our staff, Board of Directors, and community partners for another successful year of positively impacting people’s lives. Their shared concern for our neighbors and each other inspires me.
