Restocking Hope in Middletown: Rallying Support for Our Neighbors in Need

Updated: Jan 31

Once again, we're looking at empty shelves in our Middletown food pantry, and it's a reminder that our neighbors are really struggling with food insecurity.

For those who can't put food on the table, this service is a lifeline — one they can't afford to go without.

With their needs in mind, we're asking for your help.

What items are most helpful to families?

  • Tuna and assorted canned meats

  • Canned soups and beans

  • Boxed meals (mac and cheese, tuna helper, beef helper etc...)

  • Pasta and sauces

  • Cereal

  • Rice

  • Frozen meats (beef, fish, chicken, pork)

  • Frozen or canned fruits and vegetables

  • Toothpaste and toothbrushes

  • Soap, shampoo, and conditioner

Donating any non-perishable food item is helpful and makes a difference. Please use this list as a guide, but don't let it stop you from donating what you have on hand, even if it's not listed.

Where can I drop off donated items?

You can drop off your donated items at the address below, Monday to Friday between 9 AM and 3 PM. 811 N. Broad St. Ste. 219 Middletown, DE 19709 If you have any questions about dropping off food or making a donation, please call our Middletown office at 302.378.7217.

There's one more thing you can do

Alongside your generous donations of non-perishable food items, there's one more thing you can do — lend us your voice!

By spreading the word online and off, you help us reach people who may not know there's such a significant need in the M.O.T. community.

Please, bring what you can and tell whoever you can. Together, let's make sure our neighbors have enough to eat!
