Mark Your Calendar: Brewing for a Better Community Returns April 25

Updated: Feb 25

Due to circumstances we could have never foreseen, we had to make the difficult decision to postpone Brewing for a Better Community.

The good news? We have every reason to believe that one of our favorite events of the year will happen. We just don't know when. Once we have a date, we'll be sure to share it.

More than anything, we appreciate your understanding. We're genuinely sorry we can't gather at the Carter Farm this April, but we remain optimistic that we'll be back there before long.

Five years ago, David and Marjorie Carter, along with Middletown's four craft breweries, had an idea: what if we brought out some of our best brews for one night and made it count for something bigger? This April, that idea-turned-tradition returns to the Carter Farm.

On Saturday, April 25, from 4 to 8 PM, Volunteer Brewing Company, First State Brewing Company, JAKL Beer Works, and Crooked Hammock Brewery are once again teaming up for Brewing for a Better Community. If you've been before, you know what this is about. If you haven't, here's what keeps people coming back.

A Great Experience That Makes a Difference

It’s all about the experience. Live music and country barbecue. Kids running around playing games while their parents sample some of the area's finest craft beers. Hayrides through the farm. As evening settles in, a bonfire gets everyone gathering close, roasting marshmallows and swapping stories. It's the kind of night where neighbors become friends.

But here's what makes this different from your typical beer festival: every ticket directly supports programs that strengthen M.O.T. families. These are the kind of services that make a difference when people are feeling the weight of falling behind.

The breweries do a lot more than show up with their kegs too. They donate their beer, rally their respective communities, and prove that local businesses can lead the way when it comes to giving back. And after five years, that commitment speaks for itself.

A Tradition Worth Being Part of

There are ticket options that work for everyone. General admission tickets are $75 and include food, full event access, and beer. If you'd rather skip the beer, food and event-only tickets are $45 each. Children 12 and under attend for free, though we ask that you reserve their tickets in advance.

Five years in, this event has become something people look forward to. Grab your tickets and join us at the Carter Farm on April 25. We'd love to see you there!
