Help Us Get Back on the Road

Updated: Nov 1, 2023

On Wednesday, June 14, our bus was heavily damaged by a brazen act of vandalism that happened in broad daylight.

Every window was shattered. The seats were slashed. The bus is a total loss. It’s also our youth program’s only means of transportation.

Beccah Hendrickson reports on the vandalism that occurred at Neighborhood House.

While the extent of the vandalism shocks and saddens us, in the coming weeks we need to be sure we can get our kids to all the places they love to go. That means we need to replace this bus quickly.

Our youth look forward to our summer enrichment program, and we want to be sure there’s nothing that gets in the way of them enjoying the activities that make the next two months so fun.

The Youth Transportation Fund has been established to help us get back on the road as soon as possible. Donations to the fund can be made through our online donation form. You can also mail a donation to our office in Wilmington.

Every dollar counts, so please give what you can. Thank you!
