Yesterday afternoon, Governor Carney, along with Delaware's Secretary of Education, Susan Bunting, visited our Youth Department to see how our Learning Pod model works. They met with our Director, Alison Windle, Ms. Joanne Parker-Henry, the Youth Department Director, teachers, and school liaisons.
Governor Carney and Secretary Bunting took the time to engage with the students and ask about their virtual classroom experience. They also spoke with the teachers and liaisons to learn more about the process of coordinating curriculum across the districts and multiple charter schools we serve.
Toward the end of their tour, they stopped in to visit the Early Learning Center. they met Director, Rhodah Harrell, and learned a little about the structure of our ELC, including plans for expansion.
