As we wrap up our 60 Day Chiller Challenge, I want to express my gratitude for your engagement throughout this campaign. Your participation, no matter what form it took, has been a reminder that our greatest strength is the people who stand with us.
I'll be candid: we didn't reach our $325,000 goal. While this is disappointing, it doesn't diminish the impact of the donations we received. Every contribution has made a difference and brought us closer to our objective, which is to replace our rooftop chiller.
Despite falling short of our target, an ambitious goal to begin with, we’ve been able to:
Make essential repairs and keep our doors open during the hottest days.
Establish a dedicated fund so that we can eventually replace our chiller.Â
Raise awareness about the crucial role our facility plays in delivering programs and services.
Most importantly, Neighborhood House remains committed to serving our community. With or without a new chiller, we’ll continue to provide transformational programs that wrap around children and their families. Our 97-year legacy of service won't be deterred because this campaign didn’t turn out how we had hoped.
Looking ahead, we're exploring alternative solutions and funding options. We're also redoubling our efforts to ensure that infrastructure challenges don't impede our ability to carry out our mission.
Your involvement in our work means so much to me and my team. Neighborhood House is stronger because of you. Thank you for standing with us. Together, we'll continue to make a positive impact, no matter what challenges we face.Â
