The Highmark Walk Returns!

And Neighborhood House, Inc. IS participating! Gather your teams and get ready to participate VIRTUALLY!! What does that mean? It means:

"Due to the COVID 19 outbreak, the 2021 Highmark Walk Events will be moving to a virtual walk. A virtual walk is a real walk, but on your terms: Anytime between NOW and the end of the campaign on July 15, you choose how and when you walk (indoor treadmill, or safely around the neighborhood, park or trail) you chose! You also pick the time of when you start and stop!

Virtual walkers can safely and leisurely participate in a 5K (3.1 mile) walk or a one-mile walk (safely without the crowds and in accordance with the CDC guidelines.)

We encourage our Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community walkers to share their journey with us via social media, by posting photos of you safely walking to the Highmark Walk Facebook page using the #highmarkwalk all while raising funds for your favorite organization’s mission."

You can register HERE for The Walk as an Individual Walker or as a Team, TODAY!!!

  • Your team can be made up of family members, friends, club, church or social group members. Groups of 10 work best!

  • There are weekly challenges with prizes!

  • Raise $30 individually and get the comfortable and highly fashionable Highmark Walk T-shirt!

  • Raffle chances will be awarded to each registered walker who raised $50 or more. All donations credited to the individual's walker account by the walk organization by July 15 were taken into consideration. Walkers will receive one raffle chance for every $50 raised. (Prize winners will be announced on the Highmark Walk Facebook Page the week of July 19. Prizes will be distributed by mail in late July to the respective winners.)

100% of every dollar raised goes towards growing and improving programs like, our ELC and Youth Programs, Family Services and Homelessness Prevention, Housing and The Neighborhood Empowerment Center, which serves our Neighbors in New Castle County.
