Neighborhood House is seeking a highly motivated, nurturing, and experienced Preschool Teacher to join our State-Funded Early Care and Education Program. This is a full-time, year-round position serving preschool children in a high-quality early childhood environment focused on school readiness, family engagement, and positive child outcomes.
Requirements
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education required
Minimum of two (2) years of preschool teaching experience
Experience working in a high-quality early childhood or state-funded preschool program preferred
Knowledge and experience using Teaching Strategies GOLD assessment system required
Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
Responsibilities
Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences
Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
Conduct ongoing child observations and assessments using Teaching Strategies GOLD
Support children’s social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development
Maintain positive communication and partnerships with families
Collaborate with administrators, support staff, and other teachers
Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and program standards
Participate in professional development and staff meetings
