Neighborhood House is seeking a highly motivated, nurturing, and experienced Preschool Teacher to join our State-Funded Early Care and Education Program. This is a full-time, year-round position serving preschool children in a high-quality early childhood environment focused on school readiness, family engagement, and positive child outcomes.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education required

  • Minimum of two (2) years of preschool teaching experience

  • Experience working in a high-quality early childhood or state-funded preschool program preferred

  • Knowledge and experience using Teaching Strategies GOLD assessment system required

  • Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences

  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment

  • Conduct ongoing child observations and assessments using Teaching Strategies GOLD

  • Support children’s social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development

  • Maintain positive communication and partnerships with families

  • Collaborate with administrators, support staff, and other teachers

  • Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and program standards

  • Participate in professional development and staff meetings
