About the job
School Bus driver needed for On Call position. Must have 1+ years experience driving a school bus, No at-fault traffic accidents in the last 5 years, a clean driving record (no citations in the last 5 years), and excellent communication skills. 2+ years working with children preferred, ability to carry out assigned route in a timely matter.
Ensure the safety of the children at all times while on the road and while loading and unloading.
Transport children to and from Neighborhood House, Inc. as required on an as-needed basis.
Obey all traffic laws of the road as required by State, County and City jurisdictions.
Assist students with getting on and off the bus when required.
Maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Bus Inspection and Safety:
Complete a daily visual check of the vehicle to ensure all safety points.
Clean the interior of the bus daily after use.
Ensure monthly washing of the bus.
Perform inspections of the bus before and after each route.
Work with MAP Director to complete all necessary upkeep and repairs in a timely fashion.
Meet weekly with supervisor to provide updates on bus conditions or program needs.
CDL License Required
License with a P Endorsement Required
Background and Drug Test Required
DOT Documentation to be provided annually
