In 2000, the first nine houses in a planned 27 unit affordable housing development in South Wilmington were completed and made available to low-to-moderate income families. The last two phases will be completed between 2002 and 2003 and consist of town homes built as all new construction, including garages. The development is named in honor of former Child Care Director Daisy Cabean.
